The annual Summer Sizzle tournament hosted by Desert Sky Archers took place over the weekend of August 12th & 13th. The event was held in Phoenix, AZ at the Ben Avery Indoor Shooting facility. This 2 day tournament is comprised of 2 indoor rounds at 25m on day one and 2 indoor rounds at 18m on day two.
Three of the AAA team archers competed and each of them walked away with podium finishes!
The highest score in a Recurve division, at the tournament, was shot by Zoey Wapniarski with an 1115 after four rounds (2 x 25m/18m). Zoey claimed 3 of the National Records for the 25m round by shooting a 555 out of 600 on day one.
