EAST VALLEY ARCHERY (BARN JOAD) & ADULT ARCHERY PROGRAM
Join East Valley Archery JOAD (a.k.a.The Barn JOAD) at the Barney Sports Complex in Queen Creek each Friday afternoon.
"Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) is a program of USA Archery that teaches archery to young people, provides great opportunities for awarding achievement, and helps archers to enjoy the sport recreationally or progress to the excitement of competition!" -USA Archery
The Barn JUNIOR OLYMPIC ARCHERY DEVELOPMENT (JOAD) program offers both recurve and compound archers the opportunity to learn range safety and proper shooting technique in an environment that also fosters focus, increased self-confidence, and team building skills. The Barn JOAD is open to any youth archer aged 8 to 20 and is designed to grow with the youth archer.
Similar in scope to the JOAD program, the Adult Archery Programis a logical “next step” for adult archers pursuing this lifetime sport. In addition to receiving clear instruction and coaching, membership in the Adult Archery Program provides unique benefits to adults, including the opportunity to make new friends, a great upper-body workout, and the chance to build self-confidence, and learn team-building skills.
Whether your interest in archery is purely recreational, or an Olympic, Paralympic or World Championship dream, the East Valley Archery JOAD & Adult Archery Programs are designed to help you pursue all that archery has to offer.
The JOAD Achievement & Adult Achievement Archery Program rewards excellence and provides incentive, by allowing students the opportunity to earn awards for their scores, which become progressively more challenging as the archer’s skill level increases. Each archer can advance at his or her own pace. Success at each level is dependent on the individual’s skill and willingness to apply themselves through repetition. The Star Pins, Lanyards & Olympian Awards are available for both JOAD & Adult Archery Program participants.
The JOAD & Adult Archery Program is an effort to provide a basic organizational guide for both youth & adult archery activities. The United States Archery Association (USAA) is the guiding force for these potential Olympic and international archery contestants. These programs are also intended to provide the necessary guidance for the recreational archer who is interested in archery purely for the enjoyment of shooting a bow and arrow.
